Rotten Apple 907 is proud to be a non-profit event! Each year we choose a charity and accept donations 100% of which go to charity. We do not keep any part of your donations to pay for the expenses of building and running our haunted house. We spend a lot of time and money producing this free event each year and all we ask is that you consider making a donation to the chosen charity.
For 2007, we have chosen the Burbank Arts Education Foundation. This cause is very close to our hearts as most of our crew members were members of the John Burroughs Band and Color Guard. Please read Below for more information about the Burbank Arts Education Foundation.
- Burbank Arts Education Foundation
The Burbank Unified School District was invited to participate in the Arts for All Program by the Community Arts Education Project (CAEP) in Los Angeles. The vision of the Community Arts Education Project is that every public school student in Los Angeles County will received a high quality K-12 education of which the arts will be an intrinsic part of the core curriculum. The Community Arts Education Project will support districts and community partners with technical assistance to develop an arts education policy as well as a long-range budgeted plan form implementing K-12 arts education.
Burbank Unified School District acknowledges that exposure to and participation in the arts disciplines and strengthens a child's academic growth and development as an individual; prepares the child to feel a part of and make a positive contribution to the community; and ensures a creative and competitive workforce to meet the economic opportunities of the present and future.
All of us at Rotten Apple 907 feel very strongly about this program. We believe that without the arts in our schools, we would not be where we are today, wither personally or professionally. This is why, for 2007, we have chosen to take donations for the Burbank Arts Education Foundation. Please join us and other community leaders, such as Warner Brothers, who has already pledged $300, 00 in contributing to this great cause and help Burbank reach its potential as a leader in Visual and Performing Arts instruction.

Past Charities
In 2006, we chose the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We chose the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation because its is a fast growing genetic disease and because according to "Smart Money," the Cycstic Fibrosis Foundation is the top charity for the percentage of donation money used towards programs instead of overhead expenditures. We were pleased to be able to donate over $800 to the Cycstic Fibrosis Foundation last year.
In 2005 , we chose Habitat for Humanity. We chose Habitat for Humanity because of its efforts in building houses for those who lost their homes in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. We were please to be able to donate over $1,200 to Habitat for Humanity that year.
